Prescott, Arizona, fondly referred to as “everybody’s hometown” has been my home for more than twenty-five years. My husband and I have raised four amazing children in this picturesque mountain city in Northern Arizona where inspiration abounds. Growing up in a suburb of Chicago also instilled a love of art and architecture that steadily developed into my passion for interior design. Turning this lifelong passion into a career has been one of my greatest joys. I hesitate to call this a job when I truly love what I do.

Building Your Nest…

Interior design has always been my niche. The word niche is borrowed from the French word, Nichier, meaning “to nest.” I’ve been building carefully curated nests most of my life. My love for the art of creating beautiful spaces began in my early teen years. Covering my bedroom walls with magazine and catalog pages that inspired me, I would then spend countless hours decorating and shaping my bedroom to suit my ever-changing style. Moving into young adulthood, there was the discovery that it was possible to decorate on a dime while maintaining a tasteful, functional and welcoming aesthetic for any livable space. After many years, I have arrived in a place where pursuing my lifelong ambition of professionally developing and shaping dream spaces has become a reality.

In addition to being immersed in the industry as an interior design student, I also have the benefit of being married to a gifted general contractor who owns a custom home construction and timeshare property remodeling company. This has provided the amazing opportunity to design and decorate custom homes, spec homes and office spaces. Exposure to interior design in varying platforms as well as the successful design implementation of existing residential and business spaces provides a unique knowledge of the construction process that the typical person wouldn’t have. For instance, I frequently have the opportunity to be a part of creating spaces from the very beginning stages of development through owner occupancy and beyond. This is a critical and an invaluable insight to possess.

Gaining knowledge and mastering technique for any profession is incredibly important, but there’s also an inherent art to having “an eye” for interior design. It’s not a skill that can simply be taught. There’s an art to envisioning, developing and creating special and unique living spaces that truly speaks to an owner’s personality and style.

I believe this beautiful gift should be shared with you!
